One of the challenges many couples face when eloping or planning a micro wedding is narrowing down their guest list. It’s not the easiest decision as you don’t want to hurt feelings but here are some ways to do just that.
Set Your Priorities. Determine what is most important to you and your fiancé. for your wedding day. Decide if you’re looking to have only immediate family and close friends or are there other criteria that are important to you.
Simply begin by creating a list that includes all the people you would like to invite. This initial list can include family members, close friends, and any other individuals who you believe should be part of your special day.
Set a count based on your venue, budget limitations and even your personal preferences.
Categorize your guest list. Family vs. friends vs co-workers. Who do you want there and why? Consider your relationship with each person and how close you are. Don’t forget to speak to and consider family if they have contributed to the wedding or they’re are cultural considerations. You want everyone on the same page.
Lastly, you WILL have to make tough decisions but at the end of the day it’s YOUR day and your decision. Consider your overall vision and how you see your day when you look back. People understand that intimate weddings have limited guests. Be firm as the end goal is to have the intimate wedding you are dreaming of with the people that matter most.
